Q:
Exactly, what is tea?
All tea comes from the tea plant named camellia sinensis. Depending on how the tea plant is processed, it becomes Black, Oolong, Green, or White Tea.
Rooibos is a South African "red bush" that it naturally non-caffeinated and contains the highest amount of anti-oxidants and vitamins.
Fruit or Herbal "teas" do not contain the tea plant, camellia sinensis. It is merely infused (steeped) the same way as tea.
Q:
Why ditch the tea-bag?
Ever wonder what's really inside your tea-bag? Ever wonder if there's more to the bag than just tea? We want to promote the whole leaf tea and not the tea-dust you would normally find if you were to tear open a conventional tea-bag. We want you to experience the real stuff! Plus, we like the idea of preserving a bit of tea-making tradition. Why not enjoy the dancing leaves that make a genuine, quality cup of tea?
Q:
What are the health benefits of loose tea?
90% of the nutritious value of tea comes from the top of the tea plant, the whole leaf. Extremely processed, dust "tea" contains anything from the bottom of the plant to the left-overs of the whole leaf.
Q:
What are the caffeine levels of tea?
The chart below represents approximately the caffeine levels of tea compared to coffee. A pure Rooibos, Herbal, or Fruit "tea" contains no caffeine, but merely infused the same way as tea (it does not contain the tea plant, camellia sinensis).

Q:
How do you sell your loose teas?
If you refer to our Book of Tea, prices reflect 2 ounces of loose tea. If you wish to buy more, we sell by increments of 2 ounces, or by pound.
Q:
How should I steep my tea?
Each type of tea inherits a different set of instructions. If you purchase loose tea from us, the label will provide you with steeping instructions.
Should you have specific questions, please contact us and we will be more then glad to assist you!
Q:
Can I blend my own teas?
Yes! After you purchase your desired teas, you can mix and match flavors to create your own blend. For starters, we do encourage you to try each tea by themselves first to experience their own unique signature. As you progress to other teas, you will discover the exact taste you're looking for.
