Kaleisia Tea and Sweetwater Organic Community Farm invite you to the 7th Annual Gifts of Love.

The Gifts of Love Benefit Dinner includes a 5-course meal catered by local chefs featuring farm-fresh vegetables from Sweetwater’s farm. There will be over a dozen dishes to feast upon and of which, 75% will be vegan/vegetarian.

The evening features food, live music, raffle and a mini silent auction.

Cost is $20.00 per person and includes the buffet style 5-course meal and an entry into the night’s raffle. All ticket sales will benefit community outreach and educational programs of Sweetwater Organic Community Farm. Tea and smoothies may be purchased additionally to benefit Sweetwater.

Fundraise Fridays – 20% of sales to be donated to charity.

Join us at Kaleisia Tea Lounge for dinner on Saturday, May 14th at 6:30pm. Relax and let us make dinner for you. Dinner will be prepared with organic vegetables that are ready to harvest from Sweetwater’s fields.

A small donation of $5 per person is required and 100% of proceeds to benefit Sweetwater Organic Farm. Kaleisia will also be donating 5% of tea sales from the evening to the farm.

What to expect?
Dinner is casual and will take place at Kaleisia. We will have a spread of various vegan/vegetarian dishes and guests will be able to serve themselves.

Seating is limited and cannot be guaranteed.

Please arrive on time for best selection.

Kaleisia’s joining the Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale by hosting one at the lounge on April 23rd.

“Be part of a fun global event that helps people, animals, and the planet.” – WVBS

The bake sale will feature numerous local vegan bakers who will be offering a wide selection of vegan goodies.

A portion of the day’s proceeds will benefit the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities at USF.

Kaleisia Celebrates 6th Anniversary on Thursday, April 28th at 6:30pm

There will be prizes, free cake, tea, a slide show of the last 6 years, and a photo booth with fun costumes and props.

National Geographic Live at the Straz Center on Tuesday, April 19th at 7pm

On April 19th at 7pm, Mireya Mayor will be speaking at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Mayor is a correspondent for the National Geographic Channel and the new Nat Geo Wild network’s Wild Nights. She is a voice for the animals that are slowly disappearing from the earth. A Fulbright scholar and wildlife conservationist, Mayor has studied endangered primates, explored the rainforests of Madagascar and discovered a new species of lemur.

NCECA “Teaism” Ceramic Exhibit from March 30th to April 2nd

Kaleisia is proud to be an exhibit location for The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts community. From March 30th to April 2nd, there will be ceramic exhibitions throughout the community and we are hosting the “Teaism” exhibit.

The Teaism Exhibition will showcase unique teaware inspired from ancient times to contemporary styles. Each artist brings their personal twist to formal tea mugs, storage jars, pots and all things tea. As a whole, the ware on display tells the story of tea.

Participating artists are: Miguel Brito, Trevor Dunn, Sean Erwin, Adam Fields, Rafael Fonseca, David Kastner, Chuck McGee, Linda McGee, K. Smith, McKenzie Smith and John Tilton.
