Tea Drops are small packs of pre-bagged Kaleisia teas.  They are on sale for $5 each or $10 for 3 packs.  With the purchase of a Tea Drop, you can contribute to our local community.  100% of proceeds will go toward the art project.

Who is behind this fundraiser?

Victoria Skelly is the Artist Facilitator for this project.  She is a graduate student working towards her MFA degree from the University of South Florida, Tampa.  She is also a member of The Good Community Alliance a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is more commonly identified as Community Stepping Stones (CSS).  Each year CSS sponsors a community arts project and this is the year for United Drops Make Waves.

What is United Drops Make Waves?

United Drops Make Waves is a project venture dedicated to saving a city park: River Cove Park.  During heavy rainfall excess stormwater slices through and literally divides River Park in half.  In turn, the flood water not only creates severe damage via sediment erosion but also pulls and distributes stormwater-contaminants into our Hillsborough River water system of which aligns the park.  This presents an ecological hazard that is socially, environmentally and aesthetically troubling.

Ways you can help:

  • Make a contribution by purchasing a Tea Drop
  • Donate directly to Community Stepping Stones
  • Be a volunteer by contacting Victoria at vskelly@mail.usf.edu
  • Spread the word and send your friends and family a Tea Drop
